Oklahoma City Thunder Should Improve in 2010

The Oklahoma City Thunder had a terrible record at 23-59 in 08'-09' - that didn't stop the fans from attending the games because the team finished 11th in attendance. The novelty might start to wear off if the team isn't going to perform better this season. A team in a new town always had success typically so the Thunder might get a pass on the bad play.

The Thunder are coming from the great basketball town of Seattle. The Seattle fan base wasn't thrilled with the move to Oklahoma City and hope one day Seattle can receive a team again - with many teams struggling it might be a long wait in Seattle. Fans may cheer for the Thunder until they receive their own team again.

The Thunder has one of the most exciting players in the league in Kevin Durant, Durant has scoring champ written all over him and perhaps one day MVP. Durant will have to do the majority of the work this season like last for the Thunder to even compete in most games. Durant is still very young so hopefully his career won't be wasted on bad teams every single season. Durant is the Oklahoma City Thunder franchise player as of now - Durant should be among the scoring leaders once again and perhaps the scoring leader at the end of the season.

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Green will need to give Durant all the help they can in order for the team to even sniff 35 wins. The Thunder play in the Western Conference and it will be difficult to get wins even against the lower level teams in the conference. Thunder fans should enjoy Kevin Durant and his scoring ability. Even if the team has another bad season record wise - Durant should give ESPN many top ten plays.
